Jesus Saves—and So Do Double Plays
We know the power of a double play. One pitch. Two outs. Momentum shifts. The defense locks in. The crowd comes alive. And just like that, what looked like a dangerous inning becomes a clean getaway.
Double plays don’t just stop trouble—they change the game. And they happen because someone steps up and makes a play when it matters.
In life, we need the same kind of rescue.
We’ve all had time when the pressure builds—bad choices, regret, sin piling up. We try to fix it ourselves, but we keep coming up short. That’s where Jesus steps in.
Jesus doesn’t just clean up a situation—He saves us completely. He takes the weight of our sin, makes the play we couldn’t, and turns the story around.
And here’s the game-changer: we’re not just saved from something—we’re saved for something. Jesus pulls us out of the mess and calls us to live with Him—to live with purpose, to serve others, to bring light to the team, the field, and the world around us.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:10 (NIV)

Let’s Pray
Jesus,
Thank You for stepping in when we couldn’t save ourselves. Thank You for your sacrifice, your mercy, and your grace. Help us to live like we’ve been saved—with courage, love, and purpose. When the pressure’s on, remind us that You’ve already made the ultimate play.
In Your name we pray,
Amen.
Share It
Next time you see a double play on the field, let it remind you: Jesus saves—and He’s already turned the game around.
This week, share that truth with your team, your family, or your friends. Let your life reflect the joy and freedom of someone who’s been rescued—and invite others into that same grace.
Blessings In Christ,
The Team at Bibles and Baseball
